Physiotherapy-Manual Therapy
With physiotherapy, the goal is to help you feel better and provide you with the tools you need to maintain and improve your physical health long-term.
Our Physiotherapists are licensed and have completed extensive post-graduate training. An initial assessment at the clinic starts with a detailed bio-mechanical examination where the real cause behind the symptoms is searched out.
CAMPT-Certified physiotherapists are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) that have completed extensive post-graduate education and have attained internationally recognized qualifications in hands-on manipulative therapy. We provide focused treatment based on research-guided techniques that speed up patient recovery while educating them about their condition to reduce the risk of relapse.
Our physiotherapists will explain the findings and work with you to determine an appropriate treatment plan with your goals in mind. The treatment is conducted based on the information gathered through the initial assessment to treat the pain and improve the problem areas that lead to the pain.
Our assessment and treatments are one-on-one without the use of assistants. We use evidence-based manual therapy and focused exercise prescription to reverse the underlying issues behind the symptoms you are experiencing.
We also utilize various modalities such as acupuncture, dry needling, and ultrasound. We assess, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions using our extensive educational background, knowledge of the best available evidence, and clinical experience.

Physiotherapy-Physio Pilates Exercise
Assessments are completed by Preya, Stacey & Anjali
IPW's Physio Pilates functions as a focused rehabilitation approach for conditions encompassed by the field of physiotherapy. The program highlights exercises that specifically target posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing.
When incorporated alongside physiotherapy, the exercises within the Physio Pilates program play a crucial role in addressing a range of injuries. This method involves the active participation of both the body and mind, providing a challenge that, while not always simple, consistently offers enjoyment.
The process begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify specific problematic areas and a goal-oriented program that is customized to help alleviate the identified issues.
Physiotherapy WSIB
Anjali is our clinic Physiotherapist who will be accepting WSIB patients. We require a Claim Number to begin treatment. Please email or call us to book your appointment
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the insertion of thin, metal needles to stimulate specific points of the body that reach meridians. These stimulation points are called acupuncture points or acupoints. Traditional Chinese medicine holds that there are 365 commonly used acupuncture points on 20 meridians on the human body.
Typically, it takes 15 to 30 minutes of manipulating the needles in these acupuncture points and 30 to 60 minutes of retaining the needles. By doing so, it regulates the flow of qi throughout the body and restore health to the mind and body, thus balancing the yin and yang. The insertions of needles are manipulated either by the hand or by electrical stimulation, called electroacupuncture.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is designed to assess and treat dizziness and vertigo symptoms
Massage Therapy
What is Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.
Massage therapy should only be provided by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). An RMT is a primary healthcare provider in Ontario and anyone may visit an RMT of their choice.
Massage therapy can be used as a treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. RMTs work with a wide variety of patients in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability.
The services of an RMT are not covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP); however, many extended health benefit plans will cover all or part of the services provided by an RMT. A referral or prescription is not required to visit an RMT, although some insurance companies may require this.(Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario).
Breast and Chest Massage Therapy
Appropriate for patients post breast or chest surgeries. Post-surgical care both with or without complications. Treatment may include manual lymph drainage, education, home care, prevention of complications, cupping, and lymphatic taping,
Lymphedema Massage Therapy
What Is Lymphedema?
Lymphedema is most commonly caused by the removal of, or damage to, your lymph nodes as a part of cancer treatments. It results from a blockage in your lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system. The blockage prevents lymph fluid from draining well, and the fluid buildup leads to swelling.
Lymphedema causes swelling in the arms and legs. Some cancer survivors may experience lymphedema as a side effect of surgical or radiation cancer treatment. Early identification and treatment may prevent the condition from progressing and this can improve the quality of life.
Concussion Management
A concussion is a type of brain injury and a number of different symptoms may be reported following injury. Consistently throughout the literature, the most commonly reported symptom following concussion is HEADACHE. Dizziness, neck pain, nausea, visual disturbances, difficulty with concentration and memory, trouble sleeping and increased fatigue are also commonly reported following injury.

Integrated Manual Therapy for Cervical Spine Rehabilitation
Balance Rehab
Vestibular Rehab
Return to Activities
Cognitive Testing
Ergonomic Assessment
The nature of your work shifts with the transition to a home office, incorporating Zoom calls, telephone meetings, and other procedures, thereby altering the associated risk factors as well.
Regardless of whether you're stationed at the kitchen table or equipped with an Ikea sit-stand desk, there's always room for enhancing the ergonomics of your workspace. On-site adjustments prioritize the effective utilization of existing equipment, with recommendations only provided when the setup is deficient.
Yoga
Yoga combines physical movement, breathing, and meditation for overall well-being. In small group sessions with personalized instruction, these benefits are even better. Participants get individual attention, which helps them understand poses and techniques better.
Being in a small group also boosts motivation and makes it easier to stick to a routine. Plus, connecting with others in the group creates a supportive environment, reducing stress and improving mental health. Overall, small-group yoga enhances physical strength, flexibility, mental focus, and emotional balance.
